Nominate a Chef

Anyone can nominate a chef to be interviewed by Best Chefs America, whether the nominating person works in the culinary arts, is another chef, or is simply a food enthusiast. The nominated chef may then be interviewed by Best Chefs America to find out which chefs that chef respects the most. In order for any chef, whether interviewed or not, to be named as a Best Chef in America, he or she must receive the requisite number of mentions from his or her peers.

The Best Chefs are determined by their fellow chefs throughout the course of our confidential one-on-one phone interviews.

Chefs are chosen through editorial research, online nominations and chef recommendations.

Does a chef need to be interviewed to appear in the book?
Answer
No. Chefs who appear in the book are chefs who have received the requisite number of mentions from their fellow chefs throughout the course of our interviews.

If a chef is interviewed, does that mean they will appear in the book?
Answer
No. A chef does not appear in the book unless they receive the requisite number of mentions from other chefs.

Anyone can nominate a chef to be interviewed by Best Chefs America, whether the nominating person works in the culinary arts, is another chef or is simply a food enthusiast.

Does nominating a chef mean they will appear in Best Chefs America?
Answer
No. Nominating a chef brings that chef to our attention as someone to interview. When we interview these chefs, we ask them to tell us who they think are the Best Chefs. The only way for a chef to appear in Best Chefs America is by receiving the requisite number of mentions from his/her fellow chefs.
